The strength and philosophy of U3A is members running Interest Groups for members.
The Leader is responsible for the programme.
The Convenor is the person who helps the Leader by looking after the administration.
You need to be a financial member of U3A to participate in a Interest Group so we ask that you wear your badge when you go along to a group.
Some groups will need the payment of a small sum to cover such things as photocopying, venue hire, cup of tea etc. Each group sets its own rules about the amount and how to pay.
New Interest Groups
We are always keen to hear ideas about new Interest Groups. Please contact one of the committee at this link if you are willing to start up an Interest Groups. If you have something you would like U3A to try to organise a group for then let us know but it would help if you had the name of a person willing to lead it.
The details of Interest groups listed on this website are always kept up to date. What is listed now is the programme for 2021
If you would like a hard copy of all Interest groups you can download a pdf file from this link (NB this pdf file may not be completely up to date)
Interest Groups are divided into the following categories: Click on the group category for the current groups.
- Books & Literature
- General Interest
Groups which are not currently running or are finished are listed at Finished Course
