Ethnic Dining Group
We want to start a social Ethnic Dining group for ‘foodies’. The idea is to form a social group of 8 to 10 people who are interested in food and meeting socially. Meals will be held either in people’s homes or in restaurants and will be on a non-profit basis, (except for restaurants of course).

We could also run a themed “potluck’ meal with some control so there isn’t a surfeit of one particular dish. Catherine will be happy to hunt out recipes, to give encouragement and suggestions to people.

This will be an opportunity to meet like-minded people to find new restaurants and try out new tastes. Ring Catherine if you want more information.
Leader: Catherine Lewin 06 3646 284

Timing: Once a month with the day or time to be arranged. Say the last week/ weekend of the month, perhaps a Saturday evening or a Sunday luncheon.

Our first ethnic dining meet will be a New Zealand themed luncheon at Catherine’s home on Saturday, 29th February at 1pm. Please RSVP to Catherine by SAT 22 FEB to secure your booking – address will be provided when you book.
Location: People’s homes and or local restaurants. There will be some travelling.
Cost: $10 per person. BYO drink – plus any ideas/ recommendations you may have.
Reimbursement cost for the meal in people’s homes or typically $20-$30 in restaurants depending on choice from menu.
Location: 36 Awanui Drive, Waikanae
