Effective Photography
The members of this group have varied backgrounds and expertise, coming together to share their interest in photography. The purpose of the group is to learn how to create effective photographs and get to know new people. With this purpose in mind, we intend to meet at least monthly, and come together for relevant opportunities such as exhibitions, talks, field trips.
While early days, our intention is to establish a theme for the month, have a go at taking photographs related to the theme and then share our photographs when we come together. We also intend to offer skills teaching and explore topics related to photography. These topics will emerge depending on the interests of the group members.
No prior knowledge of photography is required. You will need a camera of some kind (a mobile takes great photos), be up for sharing photographs and receiving feedback within a supportive group. Keeping the group small, we intend to share the hosting of the monthly meetings, either within home or at a local café.
New members are welcome. Please contact the convenor, for more information.
