Kaleidoscope is one of Kāpiti U3A’s most popular programmes, bringing together people with a love of lifelong learning through a series of fascinating talks from expert speakers.
Every session offers fresh insights into the world around us – from history, travel and literature to science, the environment, current affairs, the arts and much more. Whether you’re exploring new ideas or deepening existing interests, there’s always something to surprise, challenge and inspire.
What to expect
- Three six-week terms each year
- Two engaging guest speakers at every meeting
- A wide variety of thought-provoking topics
- Morning tea, conversation and the opportunity to meet like-minded people
- A welcoming, friendly atomsphere where curiosity is encouraged
Meetings begin at 9:30am at the Waikanae Community Centre, with each speaker presenting for around 60 minutes, often supported by visual presentations.

Kaleidoscope is open to all Kāpiti U3A members. Click here to enrol. If you’re not yet a member, you’re welcome to experience a session as a visitor for $5 before deciding to join.
