Movies

For members who want to attend movies together, or share their opinions on
recent films that they have seen.

The group runs as an email group. Members apply to join the email group and
then messages are shared just within the group – no need for members to keep
track of email addresses. There are no scheduled meetings.

A member will suggest a film, venue and time to the group and those who wish to
attend respond to this, and meet at the venue with time set aside either before or
after the film to socialise.

Location: Varies, but generally Lighthouse Pauahatanui or Shoreline Waikanae.
Timing: Local cinemas offer senior sessions, which may include a free hot drink,
on Tuesday and Wednesday. Gold card discounts apply every day.
Cost: Each person makes their own booking ( organiser of film can share their
seat number when emailing so that members can sit together) and their own way
there and home.
Group Size: There is no limit (at the moment) on the size of this group.

You need to be a financial member of U3A to participate in an Interest Group. Please wear your badge when you attend a group meeting.
